Personal Development Center

We originally began our work in 1985 in the field of education. We were mainly organizing workshops for teachers and publishing Anoixto Sxoleio. Anoixto Sxoleio was a unique periodical for its time, which had in every issue an analytical presentation of a project that teachers could apply in their classrooms. In 2008, we founded the Personal Development Center: Open School. Our goal was trifold: a) to assist, through seminars and workshops, in the development of emotional intelligence for both children and adults; b) to support, through counseling to parents and teachers, in their work with children; and c) to help people acquire through psychotherapy a deeper understanding of themselves and their needs

During the last 30 years, we created a unique network of colleagues, who are highly experienced professionals. Our team – composed of teachers, psychologists, group and family psychotherapists – constantly creates new programs that focus on the personal development of adults and children.

In a constantly changing world we want to:

• Contribute to the individual's pursuit for personal development

• Support parents in their efforts to raise their children

• Help children and adolescents to develop skills that are necessary for their survival in a constantly changing world (e.g. emotional intelligence, co-operation, etc.)

• Hope to create a network of people who work with children. In this network people will have to opportunity to exchange ideas, support each other and collaborate.

• Promote experiential learning as a valuable tool in education, but also as a way of developing emotional intelligence for both children and adults
